Who is behind it
Priviot is independently developed by Tom Schönefeld. That personal responsibility is not hidden. Product status, technical dependencies, and limits are documented publicly so trust does not rely on a founder story alone.
Priviot is built on the belief that productive software should remain locally usable, understandable, and adaptable—without forcing people into an account or a closed ecosystem for core features.
Many tools connect every task to cloud dependency, a required account, or one fixed way of working. Priviot takes a different approach: independent applications, local core features, optional connections, and an interface that supports different workflows. Privacy, local use, modularity, and adaptability form one product strategy.

Support uses a traceable ticket system and concrete changelogs. Open components, documented formats, and exportable local data reduce lock-in. An independent project still has a different risk profile from a large vendor—and that belongs in an honest assessment.
New features are implemented and reviewed per product. The roadmap shows direction; something is called available only when the relevant product status and changelog document an actual release.
Priviot uses its own components, open source, and selected external services. The central security and transparency page explains which functions transfer data, which metadata is required, and where limits remain.
